Real Madrid Champion copa del ray
Full time: Barcelona 1-2 Real Madrid That's it! A deserved win for Madrid in a fascinating and increasingly dramatic match. Gareth Bale won it with a thrilling goal, his first against Barcelona, and all his teammates - not to mention Cristiano Ronaldo and ZInedine Zidane, embrace him on the field.
The result ends one of the worst weeks in Barcelona's history, in which they went out of two, probably three competitions. Tata Martino won't be of this job much longer. Still, tonight is more about a memorable triumph for Real Madrid, who still have a chance of their first ever Treble. Thanks for your company; night!
90+2 min A brilliant cross from Alves is headed teasingly across goal, and Pepe just gets there before Neymar to clear for a corner. The keeper Pinto is up, but the corner comes to nothing.
Barcelona and Real Madrid will play in the Spanish Copa Del Rey 2014 Final on Wednesday night, with the two El Clasico teams hoping to claim the title. Especially for Barcelona they might not get another chance this season for silverware, as they were knocked out of the Champions League by Atletico Madrid, and are also lagging behind in the race for La Liga. This will be a game they will be desperate to win to salvage their season.
